Introduction to CEC Energy Efficiency Testing
CEC is the abbreviation of the California Energy Commis-sion's, which is responsible for the energy market in the direction of healthy competition. The California Electric Energy Efficiency Regulatory Agency, which began in 1976, is the only mandatory energy-saving regulation in the United States that can affect non-government spending, and has played an important role in reducing energy consumption.
The regulations stipulate that electrical products must be sold in California once to meet the energy efficiency regulations of the equipment, the regulations for the 58 class of electrical products, energy efficiency requirements, measurement methods and phased implementation of the plan. In accordance with the requirements of the regulations, electrical products must be qualified by the laboratory according to the relevant laws and regulations or standards to prove that meet the requirements before they can be sold in California.
CEC test scope and method
58 products sold in California need to do CEC product energy efficiency certification, mainly for home appliances, power, lamps (ballasts or energy-saving lamps). 58 categories of electrical and electronic products in the United States of California sales are required to do CEC energy efficiency certification, the law is divided into energy efficiency indicators, measurement methods and phased implementation of the plan.

Power supply CEC certification instructions
There are two levels of "III" and "IV" for the performance of the switching power supply, which is the third and fourth levels, which require no-load power and overall efficiency of the switching power supply Relatively high:
The power supply unit is implemented in two phases:
The first stage from July 1, 2007 onwards, Ⅲ grade requirements (for 2007-7-1 to 2008-7-1):
The nameplate outputs the minimum energy efficiency value
0 ~ 1W 0.49 * Nameplate rated output
1 ~ 49W 0.09Ln nameplate rated output +0.49
≥49W 0.84
No-load maximum power consumption
0 ~ 10W 0.5W
10 ~ 250W 0.75W
